The UK's BBC Radio 2 has a couple of unmissable events coming up over the next three months.
First, David Gilmour's DVD premiere on September 6th. If you cannot attend one of the cinemas participating in the event, tune in to Radio 2 between 8pm and 10pm. The presenters Mark Radcliffe and Stuart Maconie promise "performance tracks from David Gilmour, plus a question and answer session with the Floyd legend, at the launch of his new DVD".
Then, on Saturdays November 17th and 24th, between 8pm and 9pm, Radio 2 will be airing a documentary marking the 40th anniversary of The Piper At The Gates of Dawn, talking to each member of the band about aspects of their most famous songs.

The 2007 BT Digital Music Awards are coming up, recognising UK based music and related digital media, which includes the internet. Brain Damage is in the running for Best Unofficial Site, so if you find your visits to BD useful or interesting, why not show it with a vote for us? Votes are accepted from anywhere in the world. The full results will be revealed on October 2nd...
Last year, in the overall votes, we were pleased to finish two places behind the excellent DavidGilmour.com (in a different category to us), and well ahead of many other official websites! Hopefully the new look BD has been an improvement, and worth all our hard work, whilst still bringing you all the news, reviews, prizes, interviews and more that you expect.
Use this link to lodge your vote - voting closes on September 30th!

Many of you will be aware of photographer Mick Rock's stunning "Psychedelic Renegades" book, published as a signed, limited edition by the specialist company Genesis Publications (reviewed in
full here). The book reveals Rock's archives of Syd Barrett shots, and indeed his old friend even
signed a frontispiece on the first 320, deluxe editions - these are hugely sought after these days
as they are one of the few authentic items signed by Barrett himself.
We now have details of the new, non-deluxe version that is being published worldwide soon, at a much more affordable price.
