Further to our recent news items reporting that Pink Floyd's legendary 1979 album, The Wall, is the focus of Stuart Maconie's BBC Radio 2 programme "Critical List", this is a reminder that the show is finally getting aired this evening (February 12th).

Dark Side Of The Moon ballet this weekend Print E-mail

This weekend, there is an unusual event happening in Fresno, California, for any Pink Floyd fans in the area. The Fresno Ballet are staging a special show using the music from Dark Side Of The Moon as the basis of their inspiration.

The Fresno Bee gives full details of the event, which runs until tomorrow evening (Saturday 12th), at 7:30pm at the Severance Fresno Ballet School. In a lengthly article headed: "Fresno Ballet: Against the Wall - dancers push tutus aside as they move in unexpected directions to the music of Pink Floyd", the piece talks of how their music was selected, and how it might save the company from its financial issues:

Nick Mason's Inside Out Italian edition and free Pompeii DVD news Print E-mail

As previously reported on these pages, the Italian language version of Nick Mason's excellent book "Inside Out" arrived on the shelves in Italy this week (on Wednesday 9th).

The book, published by Rizzoli Libri Illustrati, features a direct translation of the text by Globe Foligno. All the text and photos are identical to the UK version, however, the sub title has been changed from "A Personal History..." to "La Prima Autobiografia dei Pink Floyd" - or, "The First Autobiography of Pink Floyd".

Nick Mason: Goodwood Festival Of Speed event update and book review Print E-mail

The 2005 Goodwood Festival of Speed, which should yet again feature participation from Pink Floyd's Nick Mason, has announced revised dates. The event will now be held on June 24th - 26th, due to a decision by the FIA to revise its Formula One Grand Prix calendar. The Festival was to be held in July but the date has been changed so that there is no clash with the British Grand Prix at Silverstone.
