Next week should see another Q and Mojo Magazine special edition hitting the shelves of your local magazine emporium.

The special, called "Pink Floyd and the Story of Prog Rock", is a thorough look at the whole genre, promising a lot of coverage of the Floyd alongside their peers during the progressive rock era.

Hopefully many of you managed to catch at least the majority of Pink Floyd's amazing set at the London Hyde Park Live 8 concert last night.

With the concert overrunning two and a half hours past its extended finish, the band didn't manage to hit the stage until around 11pm, but it was worth the wait. Many reports in the media attested to the fact that the Floyd, reunited for this one, special occasion with Roger Waters, were one of the bands that stole the show at Live 8.

Despite the late running of the show (which was to eventually finish at midnight last night), the band performed their complete rehearsed set of Breathe/Breathe Reprise, Money, Wish You Were Here, and Comfortably Numb. And what a performance!

We've been told that the band have spent a lot of their own money to provide fireworks during their section of the show, which should make their segment even more memorable! We hear that rehearsals this week in North London have gone extremely well, and the set list now seems to be finally sorted. However, we know many of you don't want to hear what they are playing beforehand, so our lips are sealed!

With the hugely anticipated reunion of Roger Waters and Pink Floyd just over 24 hours away, we have news specifically for our New York based readers.

Check out TV station NY1, who will air an interview with Nick Mason beginning at 7am EST Saturday morning. It will continue to air repeatedly until 12noon.
