Nick Mason to design Gibson guitar Print E-mail

London GuitarTownPink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason is amongst the 30 musicians who have committed themselves to a new charity project, designing Gibson Les Paul guitars!

The project is called Gibson Guitar Town London, and hopes to replicate the success of a similar project in Nashville, Tennessee in 2005, which raised over $300,000 for local charities.

Waters in Shanghai - on sale tomorrow Print E-mail

dsotm 2007Tickets for Roger Waters' show at the Grand Stage, in Shanghai, go on sale tomorrow through www.livenationasia.com priced from 280 - 1,880 yuan. With only 8,000 seats, tickets are bound to go fast. The set list was submitted to Chinese officials, who have chosen not to censor any of the songs or lyrics. Last year when the Rolling Stones appeared in China, no less than five of their songs were banned!

The Last MimzyRoger Waters has recorded a new song - "Hello (I Love You)" - to be featured in New Line Cinema's upcoming sci-fi film "The Last Mimzy" (to be released across the US on March 23rd). Waters collaborated with Academy Award-winning composer Howard Shore ("The Lord of the Rings" trilogy) and Grammy Award-winning Pink Floyd producer James Guthrie ("The Wall") on the song.

Live From Abbey RoadThe website for the forthcoming music performance series from the UK's Channel 4 television, is now live, and has finally given us some concrete details on the appearance of David Gilmour and his band. THIS STORY NOW UPDATED WITH INTERNATIONAL AIRING DETAILS!

"Live From Abbey Road" promises to be one of the best new music programmes from recent years. It will showcase artists at work on live renditions of their songs, within the hallowed walls of London's Abbey Road Studios.
