French translation of Syd Barrett book out now Print E-mail

The life of former Pink Floyd frontman Syd Barrett is covered in a new French translation of Tim Willis' book, "Madcap: The Half Life Of Syd Barrett".

The translation - "Le Genie Perdu de Pink Floyd" - is published by Castol Astral. The original version was released in October 2002 to much acclaim, and here's an extract of what we said about it:

Nick Mason "Inside Out" Italian book tour news Print E-mail

Nick Mason's great new book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd" is selling well in various countries, and is currently available in Italy, under the title "La prima autobiografia dei Pink Floyd".

To coincide with this, Nick will be visiting Italy between April 26th and 29th inclusive, to do a number of interview and book signing sessions, and we are now getting some details through of his activities.

Nick Mason to expose secret side of Pink Floyd? Print E-mail

When Nick Mason's excellent new book, "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd", came out, there were a few comments from various quarters about some of the stuff that didn't appear. For example, Roger Waters told Mojo Magazine that "it's a good, light read, but I'm surprised there's not more sex in it". And Jools Holland mentioned last year that Roger had asked him "where the sex was", in Nick's book. Nick's response to Jools was: "wait for Roger's book next year!"

However, if the story on the ContactMusic.com website is to be believed, Nick WILL be spilling the beans after all!
