The new issue of the UK's Classic Rock magazine (due to hit newsagents today) includes a feature on the Live 8 reunion between Roger Waters, and Pink Floyd. In their promotional material for the new issue, they note that they have "the exclusive inside story" on the band getting back together. We've not seen the magazine yet, so cannot vouch for the extent of the article - but will update this story once we know.

Hot on the heels of the recent CD release, news has arrived at Brain Damage today that the long-awaited DVD of "Pink Floyd - London 1966-67" is finally getting a release.
It is a fascinating look at the early days of the band, featuring the classic line-up of Syd Barrett, Nick Mason, Roger Waters and Rick Wright.

Further to our previous news stories concerning Nick Mason's book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd", we have some great news for our German visitors.
"Inside Out: Pink Floyd. Eine persönliche Geschichte von Nick Mason" is being released in September by Rockbuch Verlag, and provides a full translation of the book into the language. All pictures and layout are as other editions.

Last night (July 25th) Roger Waters and Sony Music, in what could have easily been billed as a "coming-out party" for his long-awaited and much-anticipated opera CA IRA (There Is Hope), premiered 8 tracks from the album to a small, intimate audience at New York City's Florence Gould Hall.
CA IRA - A Classical Opera In Three Acts, is set for release on September 27th. The album, for those of you who may not already know this, is based on the French Revolution and written by Etienne Roda-Gil. The Hall, with a seating capacity of 400 people, had in attendance, Sony executives, members of the press corp, 100 radio station contest winners (Q104.3FM), and 47 hand-picked fans. Brain Damage's US Correspondent, Elliot Tayman, was amongst those fortunate 47 fans...

Guy Pratt, bass guitarist and song writer, who was worked with some of the biggest names in rock and pop
- in particular, with Pink Floyd, following the departure of Roger Waters - is putting on a show at the
Edinburgh Festival spilling the beans on life on the road.
The show - "My Bass & Other Animals" runs from August 4th - 28th, and has Guy taking us on "a hilarious journey from teenage bedroom to stadium, armed only with Bass Guitar and frankly unbelievable tales of life with Pink Floyd, Madonna, Michael Jackson and madness of the 80's."
