David Gilmour performing on B. B. King's new album Print E-mail

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour joins artists such as U2, Sting, Elton John and Van Morrison, all of whom are collaborating with B.B. King for the blues legend's "Duets" album to be released later this year.

The record is just one of several celebrations surrounding King's 80th birthday (September 16th) this year. In June, ground breaking on the long-planned B.B. King Museum in his home town of Indianola, Mississippi, will take place, with benefit concerts to raise funds to take place this summer.

B. B. King started recording the album in March, and as yet, David's contribution to the album is not clear. As and when we get further information, we will of course let you know.

Further to our previous news items about the US tour of "Taken By Storm: The Art of Storm Thorgerson", travelling the USA in 2005/2006, we have a review and pictures of the first venue on the tour - Chicago - and news of subsequent shows that have either been confirmed, or are in the process of being confirmed.

The UK's Telegraph newspaper last week reported on the transfer of Roger Waters' The Wall to the Broadway stage, which has been ongoing for some time and is expected to come to fruition within the next twelve months.

DSOTM being released on UMD format for PSPs Print E-mail

Eagle Rock Entertainment have announced that they will be releasing a bunch of titles for the emerging new format for portable entertainment - the Universal Media Disc (UMD) format for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) game device - and amongst these will be the excellent "Classic Albums: Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon".

Gilmour at Fender Strat Pack DVD - did you win one? Print E-mail

To coincide with the release of the excellent new Fender Strat Pack show DVD, which features Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, we had five copies of the DVD to give away to Brain Damage visitors in our latest competition.

The disc, released at the start of May, is a great record of the concert which was held at Wembley Arena in London last September. Check out our full review for more detail.
