Back on February 15th, we told you that Pink Floyd were going through their stage props, sitting in storage, to see what is still in reasonable condition.

One of the major pieces that they have sorted out, and is now just about to appear on eBay, is the legendary mirror ball flower, used for many years in various iterations and configurations as a focal part of the show, during Shine On You Crazy Diamond, but most recently on the 1994 Division Bell tour.

Nick Mason - 42nd best drummer Print E-mail

In the latest issue of the UK's Classic Rock Magazine (May 2005), Pink Floyd's Nick Mason is rated at number 42 in their poll of "The 50 Greatest Drummers In Rock".

They call his "defining moment" his performance on Summer '68, from the Atom Heart Mother album. They mention his "rather understated and unfussy approach [which] perfectly suited all incarnations of the band."

There's at least one thing still to look out for in the US, as a result of Nick Mason's appearances there to promote his great book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd".

For those of you who live in or near New York City, make sure you keep checking on television station NY1 this week. At some point (and we don't yet know exactly when) an interview with Nick, conducted by Jay Lieberman, will be broadcast.
