Some great new pictures have recently been brought to our attention, so we are naturally passing on the goodies to you. Firstly, Brian at Vagabond Music in South Africa has posted his review of Roger's first gig on the 2002 In The Flesh tour, at Cape Town, which includes many good pictures of the show. Click here for his review - well worth a read!
For a selection of live shots, including the 1980/81 Wall concerts, and Roger Waters solo shows, MusicFoto.com have a number of great shots that can be purchased - ideal Christmas presents? (Hint hint!)

There is a very interesting article, with some great photos, on Nick Mason and his involvement with cars in the December issue of Automobile Magazine.
The interview by Mark Gillies covers the extensive range of exotic (and some not so exotic!) vehicles at Nick's disposal, and shows a small selection of them he has stored at Ten Tenths. One of the pictures in particular is very good - catching Nick in the wing mirror.
Our friend Zubair has scanned it in and converted it to a PDF file. You can download it here...

Rolling Stone Magazine has released their special edition, revealing their list of the "500 Greatest Albums of All Time" as mentioned previously on our news page. The magazine includes a hybrid SACD disc (playable on normal CD players) with selections from some of the Top 500 albums, from artists including Dylan, Elton Joel, Herbie Hancock, and of course, Pink Floyd ("Money" from Dark Side Of The Moon). The disc, in a white card sleeve, includes a competition with over 45,000 prizes to be won.

October 20th saw a new repackaging of a couple of DVDs, by Sony Music in France. Housed in a nicely designed slipcase, it pulls together Roger Waters In The Flesh Live, with the movie of The Wall. The packaging promotes Roger Waters alongside the name Pink Floyd, maybe to make it clear to casual browsers that he was a key part of the band.
As far as we can determine, there are no intentions to sell this unique packaging in other countries - it can be obtained through this link if you'd like to make it part of your collection.

We are very sad to report that composer and long-time collaborator with Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, Michael Kamen, sadly passed away in a hospital close to his London home yesterday (November 18th), after suffering from a "cardiac event", with the doctors unable to revive him.
Michael was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1996 but didn't reveal this to the public until recently (see earlier news). He is survived by his wife, two daughters, his father, and three brothers. A full obituary can be found in our obituaries section.
