The Baltic News Service have reported today that representatives of Pink Floyd are not happy about the illegal use of their song, "Another Brick in the Wall," in a video clip made by Latvia's Russian education defenders against the government's reform program. The video apparently features scenes of protesters outside a venue where Alvaro Gil-Robles, Commissioner for Human Rights, is speaking, with the Floyd track playing in the background.
The statement about the band's view on the use of the track was made by Latvia's MicRec music publishers. MicRec is an affiliate of EMI Music Publishing, and is the Latvian division of the record label. More details here.
