Further to our recent review of the fascinating book Knebworth: 30 years of concerts by Henry Lytton Cobbold, comes news that a range of t-shirts and more of the events are now available through a special website, RockMusicMemorabilia.org.uk, for shipping worldwide.
Included are a couple of Floyd t-shirts, such as the 1975 Knebworth shirt as worn by the crew at the show. The other shirt is for the Bath 1970 Festival. There are plenty of Led Zeppelin items, and the site also offers the mammoth limited edition box set, which has been available for some years, entitled "There Must Be A Better Way" which covers the concerts at the venue between 1974 and 1979, with reproduction programmes, handbills, a 200 page book, and more, signed by Freddy Bannister, the original promoter.

The online music revolution continues apace, with MyCokeMusic, part of the gigantic Coca-Cola empire, offering all the tracks from fourteen Pink Floyd albums (excluding AMLOR and DSOTM for some reason) and Syd Barrett's solo albums, including bonus tracks, for legal download. Sound quality is very good indeed, although naturally there are conditions attached to the downloads. Thanks to Rollinder for the info...

Last year it was announced that Richard Mahon and Vernon Fitch, author of Pink Floyd: The Press Reports and The Pink Floyd Encyclopedia, were publishing a book about The Wall. Many of you have written asking about this - especially as we were poised to run a competition to give away copies of the book! Unfortunately, due to certain difficulties, the book as originally planned is not now being published.
However, the publishers that were to bring out Richard and Vernon's book, Reynolds & Hearn, have decided to carry on with the project, and have now revealed a number of details to Brain Damage.

The phrase "better late than never" springs to mind! EMI Germany have recently produced a lovely looking picture disc vinyl LP to commemorate the 30th anniversary release of Dark Side Of The Moon.
The front of the record has the new stained-glass representation of the classic cover, with the mandala effect of the heartbeat trace under the prism. The rear features stills from the various Dark Side concert films. Sonically, it features the same mix that appeared on the CD layer of the SACD - in other words, the remastered stereo mix.
The release, a limited edition and in Germany only, is currently available while stocks last. Certainly, copies have appeared on eBay but it is not known if available from other online resources...

As predicted, when tickets went on sale for this show (and the others in the week-long series) at 9am this morning, they sold extremely quickly, despite high ticket prices - most tickets cost £80 or £50. At time of writing, there are still some - but not many - tickets left. If you intend going, get your ticket NOW!
The April 1st Jools Holland And Friends show, featuring David Gilmour on guitar, also includes Sam Brown, Solomon Burke, Marc Almond, Mica Paris and Ruby Turner. Teenage Cancer Trust patron Roger Daltrey said yesterday: "It is fantastic that we are able to announce another line-up of exceptional shows to raise funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. [It] is a charity close to my heart and I am working with other members of The Who to break through red tape and get specialist cancer wards built for teenagers suffering from this terrible disease. These units are a right, not a privilege."
