We now have more international release dates for the remaster of The Final Cut. EMI Canada is going for March 30th, and EMI UK and EMI France are both said (by Amazon) to be putting it out just over a week earlier, on March 22nd. We have also been sent the EMI Italy press release, courtesy of our friend Nicola at Hey You, and it is shared here for you:

Release date: March 22 2004
Packaging details: Jewelcase, 14 page booklet
Comments: Newly remastered with 1 extra track

The Final Cut was originally issued in 1983 and was the last studio album to feature Roger Waters. For this recording the band at that time consisted of David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Roger Waters, and was augmented by Michael Kamen (piano, harmonium), Andy Bown (hammond organ), Ray Cooper (percussion), Andy Newmark (drums on "Two Suns In The Sunset"), Raphael Ravenscroft (tenor sax) and the National Philharmonic Orchestra, arranged and conducted by Michael Kamen.

The album is now with EMI worldwide - it was previously licensed to Sony outside of Europe and it has now been newly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plante to sound better than ever. As an extra bonus the new version also includes the single "When The Tigers Broke Free" which was first issued as a single in advance of the album's release and is now added to the album for which it was originally intended.
