We recently reported that the US and Canadian Region 1 release of the "Pink Floyd & Syd Barrett Story" DVD, would be out next month.
The DVD includes an extra bonus chapter not included on the European/Australian versions, looking at some fascinating memorabilia from 1967. It also features wonderful all-new cover art, designed by acclaimed British artist Mark Wilkinson (see this other news item regarding his inspiration for this cover!)

Acclaimed artist and caricaturist Gerald Scarfe, who provided the wonderful, savage animation for Pink Floyd's The Wall project, has announced an upcoming show. Gerald occasionally gives illustrated talks on his work, and we recently enjoyed his talk at the British Museum in London, where he covered his story in detail.

Our many Japanese readers will be delighted to know that, for the first time, they will be able to see the legendary surfing film, Crystal Voyager, in their country. The film, which famously features a long, atmospheric sequence set to Pink Floyd's Echoes, has never been screened in the country.

As mentioned last week, Friday night (October 15th) "Musikprogrammet" on Danish TV station DR2 showed the Classic Albums documentary about Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon, and had Kasper Eistrup from Danish rock group Kashmir in the studio.
Eistrup's views on Roger Waters and Pink Floyd consisted of some interesting and honest remarks - which might surprise people who have seen the sequence in the "Rocket Brothers" movie.

Further to our previous news and pre-publication offer for the new book, pictured right, which includes a documentary on DVD that Pink Floyd's David Gilmour provides the soundtrack to, we now can tell you more about the package, which has now hit the store shelves.
The book provides a legitimate way of getting your hands on the 1994 documentary, long unobtainable, and much in demand from Pink Floyd, and in particular, David Gilmour fans. We have had a chance to go through the package, and report our findings here...
