With Nick Mason's impending guest appearance with Roger Waters at his
upcoming New York City shows (at the Madison Square Garden), Nick has
obviously decided to make the most of his time in the Big Apple, with a
signing session at Best Buy, and a radio interview.
First, the interview. This takes place at 8am EDT on Tuesday morning
(TOMORROW!), and forms part of Jim Kerr's morning show on Q104.3 in New
York. Q104.3 streams its programming via Q1043.com and typically,
Kerr's interviews are made available as downloads via their website and
also iTunes. Currently available are a few of his past chats with
Roger, Nick and also David Gilmour.

The 1991 book "Crazy Diamond: Syd Barrett & the Dawn of Pink Floyd"
was the first major biography of the man, and following his sad death
in July, the authors (Pete Anderson and Mike Watkinson) have
collaborated with his family to bring the book up to date. We have a
special extract from the heavily expanded text, and also give you the
chance of winning a copy signed by the authors.

The new issue (cover date Sep/Oct 2006) has just hit the UK shelves,
and features a fascinating interview with Guy Pratt, who has worked
with Pink Floyd since 1987 and, of course, most recently toured with
David Gilmour.
Conducted in Windsor, where Guy was performing one of his great "My
Bass and Other Animals" solo shows, the interview is a fascinating
whistle-stop look at his career, talking of how he has got work with
various top musicians over the years.

Further to our previous news items about the "Taken By Storm: The Art
of Storm Thorgerson" exhibition, we now have a collection of dates and
venues in the US and Europe of forthcoming showings.
The exhibition features many of Storm's classic Floyd images alongside
work for other bands such as Muse, Mars Volta and The Cranberries. It
features a wealth of absorbing images, and is a great look through
Storm's career to date - certainly not to be missed.

Sadly, PP (Pat)
Arnold's father has passed away, just 3 months after Pat's mother. They
were married for almost 64 years and will now be together again. Pat
thanks everyone for their prayers and good wishes, and our thoughts are
with her and her family at this sad time. She is obviously due to
perform at Roger Waters' upcoming US shows, and it isn't known at this
time if this will delay her rejoining the tour. Our thanks to José Abellán for passing on the information from Pat.
