Help Nick Mason's local school! Print E-mail

Turning his back on the idea of "We don't need no education", Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason is actively providing support for a local school, in a fundraising event to be held tomorrow (Saturday).

The school in question is North Cerney CE Primary School near Cirencester. Nick keeps his cars near the school and drinks in the local pub that cooks their lunches! They are holding their PTA Christmas Fayre this Saturday (November 25th) between 10am and 2pm at the Village Hall.

Roger Waters - two nights in London - confirmed Print E-mail

This evening, Roger's manager confirmed that a second night at London's Earls Court, on May 12th 2007, is DEFINITELY happening. Tickets can be bought through LiveNation.co.uk, BookingsDirect.com or by telephone on 0870 400 0688 or 0870 735 5000.

With tickets for the announced and on-sale shows selling very strongly indeed - and a number of shows already sold out - five more dates from Roger Waters' 2007 tour have just arrived from Roger's manager, for destinations which have not been frequent Floyd stopovers in the past.

Roger Waters - Danish show confirmed Print E-mail

Our friends in Denmark should keep May 1st, 2007 clear, as Roger will be playing at the Slotspark, Augustenborg, Als, on that date. Tickets go on sale on Saturday (November 25th) through www.billetnet.dk. There's just 10,000 tickets up for grabs, so get yourself ready!
 
Gilmour/Colombia radio broadcast Print E-mail

One of the overlooked gems from David Gilmour's frantic musical activities in the eighties (not content with his Pink Floyd work, he worked with a large number of big names on THEIR projects too!) was his guesting on Pete Townshend's Deep End.

Spawning an album and a range of concerts (that subsequently appeared on VHS video and CD), the Deep End project in its live setting included a handful of David's songs amongst the classics. The concerts were in aid of various charities, as have the subsequent release of the recordings.
