The specialist audiophile magazine, Stereophile, has just released its new issue, cover dated June 2003.

Included, and also available on their website through this link, is a fascinating, heavily detailed and technical analysis of the SACD of Dark Side Of The Moon. They look at the differences between the CD and SACD layers and there are some surprising findings...

Our friends at Universal have this evening been able to confirm that Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii DVD is back on track for release on October 20th, 2003. Brain Damage has been giving our assistance with this release, and we are pleased that we have helped bring forward the release which was looking likely to be some point next year...

There's more Pink Floyd coming up on US satellite radio station, XM Live - on Sunday May 25th. At 12 midnight EDT, Echoes parts 3 & 4 (2 hours long), 12 noon EDT parts 5 & 6 (another 2 hours), and at 2am, live in 1971 (Fat Old Sun, One Of These Days, and Echoes). Thanks to Debashish Mallick for letting us know.

 
David Gilmour helps homelessness charity Crisis Print E-mail

David Gilmour is giving £3.6million of his own money to build low-cost homes for 400 people in London. The homes will be for low-income public sector workers and homeless people. Other facilities for the previously homeless will include education centres and drugs counselling. Gilmour has been named as vice president of the homelessness charity Crisis today. Plans were also announced to raise £10million for homeless projects.
