Since the Pink Floyd Tsunami raffle appeal was launched in January, the response has been enormous, with well over 100 prizes being donated in a few short weeks, from fans, the performers management teams, and other concerned parties who wanted to help out. We have been knocked out by the incredible generosity of a number of people worldwide, those buying tickets helping out a truly worthy cause, and potentially grabbing a superb prize!
Donations and the issuing of tickets closed on March 31st. The draw was conducted on Saturday April 2nd at 9am Brisbane Australia time, and the winners are shown below. Funds contributed will be handed over to World Vision on April 14th. An announcement about the total amount raised will be made then.

Further to our last update on February 23rd on the forthcoming Fender Strat Pack show DVD, we have some
more news for you of this much anticipated title. The show, on September 24th 2004, which featured Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour alongside a whole host of top musicians at the London Wembley Arena, was a charity event in aid of Nordoff-Robbins, and celebrated 50 years of the Fender Stratocaster guitar.
The concert alone raised £175,000 (around US$330,000) for the music therapy charity, and the DVD is expected to swell this figure dramatically, as it is also being sold in aid of the charity.

Pink Floyd's drummer Nick Mason spared some time in February to take part in a charity concert in aid of the Tsunami appeal. The concert, held at the Olympiad in Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, on February 5th, was a big draw, despite the presence of Nick not being known until he walked on stage.
We posted some information and a selection of pictures on February 21st and also February 23rd, and with much thanks to one of the organisers, Chris McCormack (aka Mac), we have some more, exclusive pictures from the show, along with details of Nick's appearance.

We recently caught up with Vic Singh, the photographer that took the famous shot of Pink Floyd used on the cover of their 1967 début album, Piper At The Gates Of Dawn.
Vic is still very active in the world of photography, and examples of his work can be found at www.vicsingh.co.uk. Whilst there, you can also buy a special, personally signed print of the cover art work. The print comes in a range of formats - three different sizes on Agfa colour photo paper, and also a gallery quality Giclee print on finest art paper. They all come with a signed certificate of authenticity. Full details can be found through this link at Vic's site.
We took the opportunity to ask Vic a few questions about the creation of the cover picture, which was shot a mere 38 years ago!
