DSOTM being released on UMD format for PSPs Print E-mail

Eagle Rock Entertainment have announced that they will be releasing a bunch of titles for the emerging new format for portable entertainment - the Universal Media Disc (UMD) format for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) game device - and amongst these will be the excellent "Classic Albums: Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon".

Gilmour at Fender Strat Pack DVD - did you win one? Print E-mail

To coincide with the release of the excellent new Fender Strat Pack show DVD, which features Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, we had five copies of the DVD to give away to Brain Damage visitors in our latest competition.

The disc, released at the start of May, is a great record of the concert which was held at Wembley Arena in London last September. Check out our full review for more detail.

Pink Floyd definitely not "confirmed for Live 8 concert" Print E-mail

Since the Live 8 concert was announced yesterday, the rumour mill has stepped up a gear, and there are fresh claims in many parts of the international media that Pink Floyd are confirmed as appearing. Many of these state that the band are performing in the Philadelphia part of the show.

Nick Mason radio interview tomorrow Print E-mail

This Sunday just gone (May 29th) saw the broadcast nationwide on a number of radio stations, of the show "Off The Record", a regular, in-depth interview, which this week featured the chat that host Joe Benson had back in April with Pink Floyd's Nick Mason.

The interview focused on the history of the band, and in particular, Nick's current book, "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd". It also covered his love of motor racing...

Floyd's "Gig" on new compilation album Print E-mail

Pink Floyd very rarely allow their songs to be used on compilation albums, but a new collection, a 3CD set called "The Best Album Tracks Ever", has managed to get the evocative Great Gig In The Sky, from the band's 1973 classic "Dark Side Of The Moon", included.
