Stufish, the world's top stage design company headed by the supremely talented Mark Fisher and his colleague, have long been associated with Pink Floyd and Roger Waters, along with many other top touring acts such as Genesis and The Rolling Stones. Fresh from their work on U2's incredible 360° "claw" stage, Mark has been working closely on the design and development of Roger's Wall tour.
The Stufish website has been updated with a fascinating new section, which includes a gallery looking at behind the scenes on the tour (with the stage equipment, rigging, and much more), and a further gallery with a thorough look at the first night of the tour in Toronto on September 15th. Needless to say you'll see every aspect of the show in minute detail, so don't look if you don't want any surprises revealed!

Since our last story about the second staging of Roger Waters' opera 'Ça Ira' in Holland, plans have moved apace as the concert gets nearer. Some of you will recall that in 2008, there was a special performance of Ça Ira with Roger's full blessing. The event took place on Dutch Liberation Day, and was a very special, full-scale staging of the opera in the largest concert hall in Holland, with all proceeds from the event going to the War Child charity.
With the tragic and brutal death last year of the 14-year-old son of André Post, one of the soloists in "Ça Ira for Warchild", the organiser of the original show, Joke Tuinema, decided to bring Ça Ira back to the stage again. This time not for the benefit of War Child, but for the 'Moed' campaign [see www.moed.nl]. Moed means "courage", and the campaign takes a stand against senseless violence against others.
The Dutch press has recently been full of articles and interviews regarding the show - not least as it has been announced that Queen Beatrix, head of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, will be attending the concert! An example article is shown to the right (click the thumbnail to see it in more detail; written in Dutch).
Tickets are naturally selling well for the show, which takes place on November 17th, 2010, at the Nieuwe Luxor Theater in Rotterdam. You can get tickets direct from the venue as well as other normal outlets.
Many more details of the Foundation Ça Ira Moed, and the concert, are on www.CaIraMoed.nl.

Further to our last exclusive story regarding Gerald Scarfe's "The Making of Pink Floyd: The Wall", which is being published in the UK by Weidenfeld & Nicolson (who published Nick Mason's excellent "Inside Out: A Personal History of Pink Floyd") on October 21st 2010, we have another nice little exclusive to share with you.
"The Making of Pink Floyd: The Wall" is the authorized, definitive book about the project and includes new commentaries from the surviving members of Pink Floyd: Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason, together with the director of the film, Sir Alan Parker. Roger Waters has written the foreword. The album imagery, stage performances and film were created in close collaboration with Gerald Scarfe, and his massive archive includes original storyboards, animation cells, concept drawings, models and other three-dimensional material together with
photographs of the creation and staging of the live performances and the filming of The Wall.
We have great pleasure in bringing you no less than three special video interviews with Gerald Scarfe, which you can view below. You can also see them on our Facebook page and our YouTube Channel...
