World Mental Health Day is this coming Sunday (October 10th). Escape Artists and the Syd Barrett Fund are experimenting with Twitter chats on Sunday afternoon, with the hope of broadening public awareness and discussions of two key issues close to the fund's, and Syd's sister Rosemary Breen's heart. The topics are: How does loneliness affect you're daily life and mental wellbeing? Do the arts really help people suffering with mental health problems? The first subject will be up for discussion between 3-5pm UK time, with the second happening between 6-8pm.

To join in the discussion, you need a free Twitter account. In your tweet, include the hashtag #MHchat and your post will be tracked as part of the discussion. To follow the discussion, search #MHchat, which will filter all tweets with the hashtag for you to view.

If Twitter isn't for you, but you're still interested in either topic and want to see what is said, see this page on Interstellar which is the online home of the Syd Barrett Fund.
