First, an update for you on the planned sequel to the Syd Barrett festival which was to be held in London later this year: this has been delayed, but the organisers now have a sustainable plan for a much longer and more comprehensive exhibition, together with a series of evening talks and related music events in March 2011, in London.
Materials for the Syd exhibition are still sought, so any owners of Syd's artwork, please contact

, who is also after those with experience of the 1960s London scene who'd like to participate in evening events.
Rob Chapman's book "Syd Barrett: A Very Irregular Head" has been getting some good feedback from those who've already read it. We hope to bring our review to you soon, but in the meantime, pop over to www.SydBarrett.com where they have an interesting Q&A with him, along with a segment of the book which was removed prior to it going to press.
You'll recall that we recently reminded you about the special guided tours of Syd's Cambridge, run by personal friends of Barrett, in conjunction with Brain Damage. More details can be found here, but the reason for this reminder is to let you know that the tour on July 17th is now full. There are still some spaces left on September 11th, so email chief tour guide

With all the focus on The Wall at the moment, it is quite fitting that Brain Damage can bring you exclusive news of an upcoming release that quite a number of you will be interested in! "Roger Waters The Wall Live In Berlin 1990" gets a twentieth anniversary special release on DVD and Blu-Ray on or around July 23rd (depending on whereabouts you are on the planet - the exact date will vary slightly country by country). Those of us fortunate enough to have attended will remember what a stunning presentation it was. We've been told that, befitting this commemorative edition, there will be additional new content, including interviews.
More details, including ordering information, as we get them; and before you write, there's no indication yet of a DVD release for the original Wall shows in 1980/81, which we know you all want!
UPDATE, July 1st: This release has been delayed, and it is now due to appear at some point during quarter 4 of 2010, so around October/November. By the sound of it, should be worth the wait though... more news on this as we get it.

Irish eyes will be smiling this evening... a second night has just been added at Dublin's O2 Arena for the Roger Waters Wall Live spectacular. Taking place on May 24th, the concert has just been revealed and as yet, tickets are not on sale. However, we expect the normal RogerWaters.com presale to take place prior to the general sale of tickets through Ticketmaster.
As with all the other shows on the tour, you'll find a dedicated page for this concert in our 2011 Wall Tour Zone right now, and also within the Events section on the Brain Damage Facebook Page, where you'll be able to link up with other fans going to the show, share your thoughts, pictures, and much more!

With the flurry of activity around the additional US shows on Roger Waters 2010 Wall tour, there's also been action on the 2011 European show front.
Added to the schedule is a third night at the Mediolanum Forum di Assago, Milan, on April 4th 2011 which should please our many Italian visitors. Tickets are not on sale yet, but will become available through TicketOne.it. We expect a RogerWaters.com presale in due course, so if you aren't already registered there, make sure you do so quickly.

Pink Floyd cover designer extraordinaire Storm Thorgerson is the subject of a new, in-depth documentary currently being worked on.
Taken by Storm: The Mind Movies of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis is a film about Thorgerson's life and work as told through his own reflection, his personal archive of never-before seen photographs and films, ex-partner of Hipgnosis Aubrey Powell, and through first hand narratives from some of the most important musicians of our time: David Gilmour and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd, Robert Plant, Peter Gabriel, and more recent collaborations with Scottish group Biffy Clyro, Rob Dickinson of Catherine Wheel, Dominic Howard of Muse, Cedric Bixler Zavala of The Mars Volta and many others as well as the numerous photographers, illustrators and assistants who have helped execute the work from the days of Hipgnosis to his new company StormStudios.
Roddy Bogawa, the man behind the film, tells us that Storm has granted total access to his archives, much of which is unseen, and with PF such a big part of his life, there's a lot on their relationship. He was particularly enthusiastic about his interviews with both Gilmour and Mason. More info and the trailer can be seen at www.TakenByStormFilm.info, and also at 'crowdsourcing' funding site KickStarter, where you can find out more - including how you can contribute and what rewards await you...
