Guitarist Dave Kilminster, currently touring with Roger Waters "The Wall Live" which has just finished a 56-date run in North America, is to play some special US dates in early 2011 with vocalist extraordinaire Murray Hockridge, whose emotive, soulful voice spans an incredible three and a half octaves.
Clearly not relishing the break that the Wall tour is taking (it restarts on March 21st in Portugal) Dave and Murray will be performing music from their forthcoming album 'Closer To Earth', a collection of vocal and acoustic guitar interpretations of 11 rock and soul classics. The live sets will also include original material from both artistes' repertoires.
The preliminary dates (there are more to be added) are as follows:

There was a special treat for those at the penultimate Mexico City concert on December 19th, with an additional song performed at the very end of the show especially for the Mexican audience! Further details of that - including video footage of what occurred - can be found on the showpage.
In an update to this, we now know that the additional song was performed to conclude the final show as well! More details of this concert in the December 21st showpage...

Our Italian friends will no doubt be surprised to hear today that yet another night has been announced for the 2011 Wall tour of Europe. Roger Waters will now be performing at the Mediolanum Forum di Assago, in Milan, on July 7th 2011 for a sixth night, which (at time of writing this!) concludes the 2011 tour. It represents the 60th show in Europe, and the 116th Wall show...
The RogerWaters.com presales start tomorrow at 11:00 CET for those who have already registered their interest in this city at that website, and the general sale of tickets follows via Ticketone.it and other normal agents. Our thanks to Thomas, and to Johnny from Planet Porcupine Tree.

Some very interesting new footage has arrived on Youtube...there was some French reportage about the Knebworth concert which took place on July 5th, 1975, broadcast at the time, which includes some new footage of Pink Floyd performing live at the concert, amidst the film of the experiences faced by those attending the concert.
As many of you know, concert footage (particularly in this sort of quality) from the mid 1970s is incredibly rare, so this is great (if frustratingly short)! It was
broadcast on French TV on July 8th 1975 in the news programme "TF1 13h" on state channel TF1.
Our thanks to Thomas Griesser for this info...and here's the clip itself:

Those of you in the US should tune in to the Conan O'Brien show this coming Wednesday, December 15th at 11pm Eastern (10pm Central), as alongside Enchanted actress Amy Adams, and indie band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes, is Roger Waters. The official site for the show says that Roger will be there 'to talk about just what "Dark Side of The Moon" was really all about'. Presumably Roger will also touch on a little side project he's got on at the moment (The Wall!) as part of his chat with Conan.
The show airs on the TBS channel, and many of Conan's interviews are later available to watch on Teamcoco.com, which means most of us worldwide should be able to see his chat with Roger. Should be worth tuning into, as Roger doesn't often make these television appearances. Our thanks to Gerry for the info.
UPDATE: Here's the interview:
