Two bits of Roger Waters-related news for you today. Firstly, last night saw the MSN Chat with Roger, which turned out to be shorter than expected and disappointed many of those who were able to see it (MSN Chat being blocked to a number of countries, the UK included).

On the night that the US MSN Chat site hosts its interview with Roger Waters (see separate news item) we
bring you news of yet another interview with Waters - although this one has an interesting twist.
This coming Wednesday (19th October) Alice Cooper, who has a nightly show aired across the US, interviews the composer of Ça Ira. Roger talks about whether "Dark Side of the Moon" syncs up with "Wizard of Oz," gives exclusive information on what's up with Syd Barrett, talks about the Live 8 Pink Floyd reunion, and tells all about his brand new opera.

Our friends over at Genesis Publications have been in contact today with an important update on the forthcoming special edition of Nick Mason's "Inside Out: A Personal History Of Pink Floyd".
As we reported back on 9th February, 8th April, and most recently on 12th July, Genesis, the specialist book publishers, have collaborated with Nick Mason, producing a very special limited edition of his book.
They have taken 500 of the First Edition of the book, re-bound them in leather, got them signed by Nick and included in a 'box of delights' designed and assembled by Storm Thorgerson, who will also sign this unique limited edition box set. Only 500 sets will be made, and work is currently being finished on the sets.

Tuesday night saw progressive heavy rocker's Dream Theater perform their interpretation of Pink Floyd's 1973 classic, Dark Side Of The Moon.
The performance, at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, saw the album played in its entirety during the band's second set, and continues Dream Theater's tradition of covering a classic album whenever they perform a two-night run in the same city. Other albums they have covered include The Number Of The Beast (Iron Maiden) and Master Of Puppets (Metallica).

We recently reported on Nick Mason's scuppered plans to continue his promotion of his wonderful book "Inside Out - A Personal History Of Pink Floyd" this month, due to appendicitis.
We've had an update on Nick's progress, and I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that he is recovering well from his operation. The plans he had for flying to Germany, to appear in Hamburg, Berlin and Köln (Cologne), have been cancelled for the time being, on doctor's orders, as has the trip to Bulgaria. These will be rescheduled in due course.
