The new issue of the US edition Rolling Stone Magazine is now on newsstands. As you will recall from our news item of a few days ago, they have proudly stated it includes their largest ever coverage of the band.
Whilst the cover image is nice (click on the thumbnail to see a larger version) and there's some great pictures inside, the article about the band does only run to five and a half pages, and which uses old interviews with the magazine - no new interviews are present. Sadly, not the exhaustive coverage that we were all hoping for... On newsstands until April 5th, 2007, their website has an extract from the article here. Our thanks to Stephen Humphries for his generous help with this information.

Celebrating its own 40th anniversary (much like Pink Floyd themselves!) the latest issue of respected US magazine Guitar Player (cover date April 2007) takes a long hard look at "The Great Guitar Albums of 1967", and includes a rare interview with the Floyd's early producer Norman "Hurricane" Smith.
The magazine takes a good look at a number of the classic albums from that year, including Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, and also includes features on Jimi Hendrix, Cream and The Beatles as part of its coverage.

Starting on May 19th, for seven consecutive weeks, the UK's BBC2 television channel broadcasts a major new series, taking us on a journey through "The Seven Ages of Rock" which explores the music that has "been the soundtrack to our lives, defining each generation since the 1960s, from the crackly 45 to MP3s."
As part of the show, Pink Floyd naturally receive a fair amount of coverage, including (we hear) rare pictures, footage, and some new interviews with various band members...
