Next week sees a special, one-off event in London. Being held in the shadow of the building which was the subject of arguably Pink Floyd's best loved album cover (after Dark Side Of The Moon, of course!), Storm Thorgerson talks about how the iconic Animals picture came about.

The latest cinema release from Martin Scorcese is a thriller called "The Departed", which features some real Hollywood heavyweights in the excellent cast. Of interest to Floyd fans is a sequence in the movie with Comfortably Numb - the version performed by Van Morrison at Roger Waters 1990 Berlin concert. Reason for this version? Possibly due to most of the characters being Irish American, and other Irish songs feature in the soundtrack. And it IS a good track, as well!

We recently reported on how the release of Pink Floyd's PULSE on DVD, along with tours from David Gilmour (with Richard Wright), and Roger Waters (at some shows, with Nick Mason) has resulted in dramatic sales figures worldwide.
