Many of you will be aware that we recently brought you the news of the new Roger Waters single and promo video, which is taken from the forthcoming movie The Last Mimzy.
Whilst the song, "Hello (I Love You)", appears on the soundtrack
album, there is also a CD single being released with two versions of
the track, and we have details of how you can order the physical CD or
the download version of these.

London's Barbican Hall hosts a special evening in May as a tribute
to the late Syd Barrett. The event, on May 10th (the day before Roger
Waters plays two nights at the capital's Earls Court as part of his
DarkSide Of The Moon tour), promises special guests and rare film footage.
Billed as "Madcap's Last Laugh" the event kicks off at 7:30pm and
forms part of The Barbican's Only Connect series, which sets out to
explore the boundaries where music, film and art meet.

This
month's issue (cover date April 2007) of the UK's Guitar Techniques
magazine includes a fascinating, three page interview with Dave
Kilminster, the guitarist currently performing on Roger Waters' 2007
tour alongside Snowy White and Andy Fairweather-Low.
The article is also illustrated with a nice selection of in-concert
shots, showing some of the lighting and pyro effects currently in use
on Roger's tour.

An
update on Roger's 2007 Dark Side Of The Moon US tour has just arrived
from his manager - the Hartford CT show at the New England Dodge Music
Center has moved FROM July 13th TO July 10th. This is so that a show at
Darien Lake PAC, Darien Center, NY can be added in on July 13th... very
good news for some!
Our tour pages have been updated accordingly, as has the Gig Calendar...

Nick Mason brought a distinct Pink Floyd touch to the 32nd Retromobile, which was staged in the south of Paris between February 16th - 25th (which we reported on here). At the exhibition, amongst the beautiful cars from his collection were images from the band's past, and even a drumkit!
He enthused to Autoweek: “It’s the scale of the thing. When one thinks of car shows, you think of a couple of stalls selling parts and headlamps. Here you see acres and acres of old headlamps!”
