For those who might be interested, Roger Waters will be taking part in an event called Revolutionary Rally today (Saturday, February 7th) in San Leandro, California, USA.
Taking place at the BAL Theatre in San Leandro, the event is part of the 'Butch Ware for Governor 2026' campaign. The event description says: "Join Butch Ware as he welcomes ROGER WATERS, LAUREN JAUREGUI, SAMMY OBEID, ANGELICA ROSS, SHYLAH RAY, FERNANDO DEVERAS and other guests, for an afternoon of speeches, sets, and songs to fuel the uprising. Fascism cannot be reformed; it must be defeated. And all successful liberation movements are rooted in revolutionary resolve and love.
"Help us rally the forces needed to bring a political revolution to California, the United States, and the world.
"The event is held at the historic and beautiful BAL Theatre in San Leandro within easy reach from the wider San Francisco Bay Area."
From the description above, and the event graphic showing a guitar being held, the implication is that Roger will be performing but this is obviously not something we are guaranteeing! Tickets for the event are available from Zeffy.com.
UPDATE: Whilst we don't yet know of any BD visitors who went to this, thanks to the excellent Setlist.fm we now have the songs that Roger performed. Throughout he had local band Sip Club as backing band, with Gus Seyffert joining him too. Gus has worked with Roger on recent projects, both live and recorded. They played the following set: Under The Rubble, The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range, The Gunner's Dream and Wish You Were Here. The first song is quite a new one, unreleased but first unveiled as what appeared to be a work in progress demo by Roger a couple of years ago on his YouTube channel and socials. The Bravery Of Being Out Of Range was done without the band, in quite a different way, but no spoilers here!
A further update...video of the appearance is now available too!
