Just revealed is the list of exclusives that will be made available as part of the 2026 Record Store Day, which is being held on 18th April at all participating, independent stockists.
Amongst the huge array of special editions, all of which are produced in varying degrees of limited numbers, is one for the Pink Floyd collectors out there. As you will be aware, the Wish You Were Here 50 release included Live From the Los Angeles Sports Arena 26th April, 1975. It contained the full set of the concert - 16 live recordings captured by the renowned bootlegger Mike Millard. The audio was lovingly restored and remastered by acclaimed producer and musician Steven Wilson. It is being released separately for Record Store Day, with an exclusive vinyl version that includes 4 LPs printed on clear vinyl. In North America, it will also be available on 2CD.
Record Store Day was formed in 2007 and first celebrated on 19th April, 2008. Since then, it has grown into a global event honouring the culture of independently owned record stores. Today, Record Store Day is celebrated at "bricks and mortar" (i.e. real, not online) shops around the world, uniting artists, fans, and stores in support of vinyl and physical music culture.
And, as we've mentioned previously, all the limited edition items are released just through RSD participating stores on 18th April 2026 - go to RecordStoreDay.com or RecordStoreDay.co.uk for more details of who those will be. There are also now localised sites if you are in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, The Netherlands, Poland, or Spain.
A reminder that it will ONLY be these stores participating; the stores themselves can't sell it online - the record will become available for customers coming through the door of the store from the morning of the 18th (and not before), in limited quantities - first come, first served, and only one copy per customer. After RSD, if copies remain, the retailers may put them for sale online (and of course, there'll also be copies on eBay inevitably...).
