The April 2004 edition of the UK's Record Collector Magazine, always worth a look, includes a nice colour picture of the Pink Floyd from the photoshoot in Hay's Mews, London (where you see what looks like the back doors of properties, drain pipes, etc.) on the news page. This accompanies mention of the delay to the remastered edition of The Final Cut CD.

The new album from Eric Clapton, due for release on March 22nd in the UK and Europe, and March 30th in
the US, includes the talents of a couple of integral members of Roger Waters' band - guitarists Andy Fairweather-Low and Doyle Bramhall II.

Further to our exclusive insight into the Montreal 1977, concert author and photographer Wray Ellis has
had some questions as to why it has taken so long for these to appear. "After the concert, I enlarged the two of the best shots and stored the negatives away for 'future' use. When I graduated from college in 1978, I went on the road as a touring musician. Two and a half decades passed. This past winter, I finally got around to doing something with these pictures. With such renewed interest in the band in general (and this concert in particular) the time just seemed right.

For all of you who have enjoyed The Section String Quartet's excellent tribute to Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon (see our review) there's some good news.
They have taken their performance of the album and other works on the road; Eric Gorfain of the quartet, who also wrote the string arrangements for the Dark Side album, recently contacted Brain Damage with news of some of their forthcoming shows.

A new book about Pink Floyd's classic album, "Dark Side Of The Moon", was announced today (Sunday March 14th) for publication later this year by Ashgate Publishing.
"Speak To Me: The Legacy of Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon" will contain fourteen essays, three interviews and a 50-page annotated bibliography. Literary and music scholars from across the globe will contribute the essays, which all focus on the music, and Floydian Slip's Craig Bailey provides the preface to the book.
