autotrader picture of nick masonThose of you in the market for a car should head over to the Autotrader website. For it is through them that Nick Mason is selling his rather tasty Audi RS6 Avant! “It's the car I use every day,” Nick told Autotrader. “My drum kit has been in the back of it, so whoever buys it might find a drumstick under a mat somewhere...

“I'd really like the car to go to someone who enjoys it.”

Full details of the car, including pictures, can be found here. Our friends at Autotrader couldn't pass up the opportunity of an interview with Nick too, where he talks about his cars, about guesting on drums for Roger Waters, and the likelihood of a Pink Floyd reunion...

Dutch newspaper Metro has a competition running on their website to win a meet and greet plus two tickets to Roger Waters' Landgraaf show in the Netherlands - a great prize!

You can enter the competition by typing a question to Roger (it says in Dutch: "Wat zou jij Roger Waters willen vragen?" which translates as: "What would you like to ask Roger Waters?"). The contest closes on 6th May, and the best of luck to all Brain Damage visitors who place their entries! (Our thanks to Robert for the info)

Roger Waters' Coachella Festival pig recovered! Print E-mail
Written by Paul Powell Jr. and Matt
Wednesday, 30 April 2008

coachella pig shreds Residents at the swish Hideaway Golf Club in La Quinta, California, had a big shock on Monday morning, when the shredded and completely unrecognisable remains of Roger Waters' pig was found in a pair of neighbouring driveways.

Coachella's producer Bill Fold said at the scene: "That's definitely our pig", adding that it had initially drifted as far north as Highway 111 before blowing back south as it ascended.

The householders - one of which coincidentally enough was wearing a Wish You Were Here t-shirt as she discovered the shreds at the front of her house - will split the cash reward and each pair will get four Coachella tickets for life, Fold said.

Video reports can be seen here and here, and more information can be read here.

coachella pigThe Coachella Festival concert promoters are offering a $10,000 reward and four lifetime passes to the Festival for the safe return of Roger Waters' giant inflatable pig that's gone missing.

The spray-painted animal, pictured right, was released during Roger's performance on Sunday at the festival. "A pig got loose last night," said Bill Fold, one of the festival's producers, on Monday. "We really like him and want him back.... It's a very emotional time for us."

If you've seen the porker sailing through the skies near you, or indeed know where it is now, send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . For a nice shot of it being painted, click here. And, if you want to see the pig making its escape, read on (warning, you'll see the stage effects too, so don't watch if you don't want to see them!)...

Roger Waters - tour rehearsals Print E-mail
Written by Matt and Terry
Monday, 28 April 2008

Last week, as final rehearsals for the 2008 tour took place, Roger Waters gave 150 lucky people a very special opportunity. They were invited to see Roger and his band doing the full dress rehearsal in the Inglewood Forum, on Friday April 25th, for the Coachella Festival concert which took place yesterday (Sunday). (The venue for the rehearsals was revealed at the end of last week on saxophonist Ian Ritchie's tour blog - a great, insider's view of things!)

Terry, a Brain Damage visitor, was part of the small audience and he has kindly sent in some pictures and a report from the event. Naturally, what follows below reveals information about the 2008 version of the show, so if you are going to one of the upcoming concerts and don't want to know, we suggest you read this report after you've been!
