Many of you will recall our previous news stories relating to the stunning limited edition hand-signed and numbered box set commemorating Pink Floyd's The Wall project. Scarfe On The Wall is a highly desirable collaboration between the artist Gerald Scarfe, Roger Waters, and the luxury book publisher Gloria, and we hear it is selling fast (helped by its very limited nature). We've got more details, and exclusive pictures of ALL the prints for you, below.
And thanks to our friends at Gloria, being a Brain Damage visitor earns you 5% discount on the cost of the box set, of which there are just 300 copies... that's around £60 you'll save!

A new website has launched offering a hand-picked selection of some of the finest examples of the work of StormStudios, direct from the source. Showcasing the talents of Storm Thorgerson, Rupert Truman, Peter Curzon, Dan Abbott, and Finlay Cowan, Stormsight features a good amount of their work for Pink Floyd, alongside album covers and suchlike done for others.
www.StormSight.co.uk is an absorbing site; a great place to browse through the many and varied images, and with a special introductory offer at the moment on a special limited, signed Division Bell print, it's the perfect time to pay it a visit!

Last Sunday (December 28th), BBC TV in the UK aired "The Real Italian Job: James Martin's Mille Miglia" where the chef - a true petrolhead - decided to make a dream reality and take part in the gruelling, 1000 mile Italian race (on open, public roads!) from Brescia to Rome and back again.
To qualify for the event, cars need to be dated between 1927 and 1957, and also need to be rather special (so Ferraris, Bugattis, Maseratis, and so on). As part of the preparation for the event, James called on two-time Mille Miglia racer Nick Mason for his advice. The BBC's iPlayer service has the show available for three more days via www.BBC.co.uk/iplayer or via Virgin Media's digital cable service. (Thanks to Jason Pyke for the head's up!)

Just announced is a new book that seems to take a slightly different angle on Pink Floyd's history, and the facts, figures and trivia relating to the band.
Pink Floyd FAQ, by Stuart Shea, is published on June 1st 2009 by Backbeat Books, and aims to answer questions such as what were the band's most memorable gigs, and what was it like to be at a Pink Floyd show in 1967, in 1973, and in 1980. The publishers say that it "tells the band's story, dissects their most popular work, and provides little-known facts, all adding up to a provocative must-read for fans. With 400 pages of stories, history, observation, opinion, photos, and reminiscences from those who were there, Pink Floyd FAQ will discuss frankly what made the band great - as well as note their not-so-great moments - and their place in modern pop culture, giving credit where credit is due - and maybe puncturing some inflatable pigs along the way".
Sounds like it could be interesting, and we hope to have more information soon. In the meantime, Amazon are already taking pre-orders (at a discount in some stores cases) through these links: Amazon UK, Amazon.com (US/international), Amazon Canada, Amazon Germany, or Amazon France.

Our competition to win one of the new, limited edition vinyl/CD packages of the much-loved "Pink Floyd London 1966/1967" recordings, or one of the DVDs of the sessions, is now closed. We've spent a busy while today going through the mass of entries to draw the winners, and can now break the good news for six of you...
The packages feature a pair of early studio recordings by the band, headed at that time by Syd Barrett. Recorded (and caught on film - see details of the DVD here) by Peter Whitehead for his "Tonite Let's All Make Love In London", the tracks are a 17 minute Interstellar Overdrive, and the nearly 12 minute Nick's Boogie.
This new edition consists a heavyweight vinyl and CD set, packaged in a special gatefold sleeve, and is available exclusively from Snapper's website. But, we hear you ask, who was picked out from all the correct entries received? Read on to find out!
