Some of you will recall that in January 2024, the UK's National Space Centre (which is located in Leicester) hosted the fulldome planetarium show of The Dark Side Of The Moon. Set to the remastered audio by James Guthrie and Joel Plante of das boot recording, the sound is rich, deep, and powerful. The 360° visuals, produced by the award-winning team at NSC Creative in collaboration with Pink Floyd’s creative director Aubrey 'Po' Powell, bring the music to life in spectacular style.
Due to the success of that, they arranged for another couple of screenings to take place in May last year.
Demand clearly high, there's another two chances to see this early next month! Both are occurring on Friday, March 6th, 2026, at 7pm (for ages 14+) and 8:30pm (for ages 18+), and tickets are now on sale through this direct link to the National Space Centre which also gives more information about the event.
The following video also gives a taste, but of course won't be anything like seeing it on the planetarium ceiling!
UPDATE: Due to demand, the two screenings are now sold out - but don't despair! Another couple of screenings have been added for June 19th, and for August 8th, at the same times, and through the same direct link to the National Space Centre where you can get more info and secure your seats for these events.
