Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

We now know that Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are on their way, with the releases on May 2nd, and the cinema screenings shortly before. NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

Roger Waters - 2012 Wall Tour US/Canada dates confirmed Print E-mail

Roger Waters - performing The Wall Live in 2012Well, after months of rumour and speculation, the North American leg of the Roger Waters The Wall Live 2012 tour has now been announced. Running to some 36 dates, a number of the venues are new to Roger, and some are the previously mentioned baseball stadiums.

Roger told Rolling Stone recently: "There are quite a few markets we didn't cover last time, like Austin, but we want to base the tour around Saturday nights in baseball stadiums. As we speak, I'm at my office working on an outdoor version of the show. We've done light tests at Fenway Park and Wrigley Field and Yankee Stadium just to see what the ambient light is like. And it's fine. It works. We've taken part of the Wall and the projectors into those three places."

For those elsewhere, we have had official confirmation that there are no plans for a European tour, despite the rumours suggesting otherwise.

Without further ado, here's where you can catch Roger in the US and Canada next year:

Tickets for the majority of US shows will be available through this link to Ticketmaster.com from 10am on Monday, November 14th, although some seem to be November 7th. Click through to Ticketmaster to check for the show(s) of your choice. Tickets for the Canadian shows will be available through this link to Ticketmaster.ca on the same day, along with other normal outlets. Clicking through to either Ticketmaster outlet using our links here to buy your tickets will give a small, but vital, contribution towards BD running costs and is really appreciated!

Should other concerts be announced on this leg of the tour, we will let you know. Since the announcement there was some doubt over the May 19th concert, which was suggested might change to May 18th, and may even change cities from Los Angeles to Pasadena! This has, however, now been fully confirmed as taking place as above at the Memorial Coliseum on the 19th.

As with the rest of the tour, make sure you check out the Roger Waters 2012 Wall Tour zone for full information about each concert and venue, to find out directions to the venues, to see pictures, videos, and reviews, and more.
