Nick Mason's Saucers - additional tickets for Roundhouse now available to buy Print E-mail

Roundhouse, London

A highlight last September for a number of people was the show performed by Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets at London's Roundhouse - a venue that Pink Floyd played in on a number of occasions in the earlier days of the band.

When it was announced that, following the Saucers' jaunt to the US and Canada this and next month, they'd be doing a handful of UK shows with two night's at the Roundhouse, it got a lot of people keen to experience it themselves.

Naturally, tickets sold quickly for these shows, leaving many people disappointed. However, we have some good news for you...

Some additional, standing tickets for the first of the two shows there (May 3rd), both of which include support by McNally Waters (the Waters in question being Harry, Roger's son, who many of you would have seen on Roger's Wall and Dark Side tours), have been released. This is due to the show production requirements having been determined for this gig. You can snap them up, while they last, via this direct link at Seetickets.com.

Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets

Well, so soon after adding a couple of dates to Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2019 tour - in Prague and Warsaw - the band have added yet another to the busy July schedule! The extra show is being held at the historic Teatro Antico in Taormina, on the Italian island of Sicily.

With this 3rd century BC Greek venue being an amphitheatre, boasting views behind the stage of Mount Etna, it promises to be a spectacular venue to catch Nick and his excellent band in action:

Tickets for this additional show go on sale on Friday (22nd March) at 10am CET, through www.Ticketmaster.it.

As normal, to go with all the other shows the band are playing, we have been busy setting up a dedicated page for this concert which, with your assistance, will have all sorts of useful information, pictures, reviews and more. The pages can be found in the Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2019 Tour Zone which has details of ALL the shows on this year's tour, that have been announced so far.

To cover regular email questions we are getting, if other dates/locations are revealed, then we will bring you the good news.

Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets at Summer Fog Festival, July 2019

Clearly enjoying life on the road, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets have added another couple of shows to their 2019 tour - one indoor, one outdoor. The extra shows sit at the end of the current schedule, and take the band to Poland and the Czech Republic.

Fans in those countries will now be able to catch the Saucers at the following gigs:

Tickets for these new shows have just gone on sale - midday local time - to coincide with the announcement, and are available NOW. The Warsaw show is part of the Summer Fog Festival, as you can see from the rather nice poster shown here (click the thumbnail to see it in better detail and colour).

Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets - Stockholm, Sweden, September 2018Tonight sees the start of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets Tour 2019, which takes in 45 dates in Canada, the US, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Malta and The Netherlands. The last public performance was in September, in Nottingham, England, and the entire 2018 European tour received huge acclaim from fans and critics alike. Those who have been fortunate enough to have seen the band in action already, will no doubt concur with this.

The picture to the left (click the thumbnail) is from the first night of the European tour last year, when the band kicked things off at Cirkus in Stockholm, Sweden.

This evening at 8pm local time, the band will take the stage at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre. We're hoping that some Brain Damage regulars will be there to experience the thrill of the first night. Anticipation will surely be very high for their first North American appearance. How will the show go? What will the set list be? Will it be the same as heard at last year's shows - or have they changed things around, or indeed added anything to the set?

UPDATE: The first show, at Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre, has taken place - and there was a revised set list! Rather than reveal spoilers here, you'll find more information over on the show page for that performance...

As ever, we will bring you all the information we can about this show, and all the subsequent ones on the tour. Of course, to do this the best we can, we really would love your help - if you are going to any of the shows, please report back afterwards with any comments you might have, pictures you've taken, or anything else of interest. You can do this by This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it or via our Contact Us page. We'd love to hear from you, and appreciate all contributions made to the site.

We hope, if you are seeing one of this year's shows, that you enjoy the performance, and have a great time!

Two-part Mojo Magazine Pink Floyd special - part one selling fast! Print E-mail

MOJO Magazine Pink Floyd specials - issue 1 and 2As we mentioned last month, the first part - known as Edition 1 - of MOJO magazine's two-part Pink Floyd special collectors' edition is on sale now in UK stores. Housed in a gatefold card sleeve, with a mirrored prism on the front, and Atom Heart Mother's Lulubelle III pictured on the inside when opened up, the magazine covers the early period in the band's history: 1965-1973.

The editor, Mark Blake (he of the excellent Pigs Might Fly biography of the band) has put together the pair of 132 page magazines in part to tie in with the upcoming tour of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets that begins on March 12th in Vancouver. The publications pull together interviews and articles printed over the many years of MOJO magazine, and accompany them with many rare and previously unseen images of the band, to help trace the journey from the band's first steps, through to The Dark Side Of The Moon.

There were certainly a healthy number of pictures which I'd not seen before, and refreshingly for a special publication such as this, there is no advertising within its pages to artificially inflate the page count. Both parts should be worthwhile purchases for Floyd fans, providing plenty to read, and lots of visual entertainment too.

The second part, also known as Edition 2, will be available in UK stores from April 4th, and covers the period of 1974 to the present day. As you'll see from the image here, the cover of the second part has the band lurking behind a hole in the Wall...

PLEASE NOTE that Edition 1 (part one) is selling incredibly well, and copies are becoming very hard to find. Secure your copy now by purchasing online (it's available worldwide) through these links at the publishers:
