Some more good news for some of our readers in the US and Canada - Roger Waters has added a second show to three locations on his upcoming 2020 North American tour, This Is Not A Drill.
Tickets for the following new dates go on sale on Friday, February 28th at 10am local time, through the links shown next to the venue details below. The use of our direct links to buy your tickets gives a small but valuable contribution toward the ongoing BD site running costs, without costing you any extra, and is much appreciated! Roger's upcoming tour is, as normal, shrouded in secrecy, but as the tour posters reveal it is a first for Roger as it is being presented "in the round". This basically means that the stage is sat in the middle of the floor level of the venue, with the band and performance being aimed at those sat all around. This should also mean that most seats in the venue will have an excellent view! Should additional shows be announced elsewhere, we will of course let you know as soon as we can. As ever, we have set up dedicated pages for each of these shows, which you can get to either by the links above, or via the Roger Waters 2020 link shown to in the left-hand menu. |

Announced today is a march for Julian Assange, which is taking place tomorrow (22nd February, 2020) in London, and as part of the announcement, Roger Waters has noted that he will be performing during the event.
The march for Assange goes from Australia House, Aldwych, to Parliament Square. They note that "Assange's full extradition trial begins the following Monday (24th February) and that the Trump administration is seeking to put Assange in jail for 175 years for publishing the Afghan and Iraq War Logs". They will assemble from 11:30am GMT, to leave Australia House at 12:30pm. Others participating will include Chrissie Hynde, Brian Eno, Vivienne Westwood and MIA. Obviously we don't know the nature of Roger's performance, but many of you will recall that he played Wish You Were Here in a similar, yet smaller, protest back in September 2019, again in London. UPDATE: Roger didn't perform any music during the event, but read from a prepared speech to the assembled crowd. Chrissie Hynde was (we understand) the only musician to perform any music. With thanks to Jon, we have a couple of pictures of Roger during the event: |

Some good news for our readers in Mexico - Roger Waters has added a second show to his upcoming tour, in Mexico City!
It has just been announced that he will be keeping his 2020 This Is Not A Drill tour in Mexico City for another show at the Palacio de los Deportes. The show will take place on October 8th, 2020 (with the first show taking place on the 7th) and tickets for this new date go on sale on Thursday, February 20th at 11am CST, through this link at Ticketmaster.com.mx. Should additional shows be announced for Mexico, or elsewhere, we will of course let you know as soon as we can! |

The announcement of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets: Live At The Roundhouse, coming via Sony Records on April 17th, 2020 as a 2CD/DVD package, on double vinyl and on Blu-ray, has gone down very well with those who have already seen the band perform, and with those who haven't yet had the opportunity! These releases include the show in its entirety, and the video formats include some additional footage including interviews and rehearsals. The pair of Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets shows at London's Roundhouse on May 3rd and 4th were recorded with a grand total of 18(!) cameras were pressed into action on the second night. These included remotely operated cameras, and one suspended on wires which flew back and forth above the audience. The result of this expensive and challenging filming and recording exercise (cameras were positioned to minimise any impact on the audience) looks spectacular on the footage we've seen so far. This week, Amazon.com have alarmed some by noting that the Blu-ray edition won't be compatible in North America and other countries. We went direct to Sony to check this out, and we have had confirmation from them that this was an Amazon error (which Sony had Amazon correct immediately), and that the Blu-ray has NO region coding at all, so will be playable worldwide, irrespective of where you purchase it from. This is great news! For a full, early viewing of Live At The Roundhouse, there's exclusive screenings coming to cinemas in selected cities worldwide for one night only on March 10th, 2020 - details of participating cinemas can be found at NickMasonFilm.com where tickets can also be purchased. This theatrical event will also include a pre-recorded cinema exclusive Q&A with Nick Mason and the band where they will answer questions submitted by fans. ORDERING INFORMATION: You can order the various editions through the following direct links, taking advantage of Amazon's pre-order price guarantee so you will automatically pay the lowest asking price between placing your order, and release, whilst giving Brain Damage much needed help with running costs without costing you any extra. We really appreciate it too! |
