Live 8 DVD - more details Print E-mail

The official Live 8 DVD website has had some updates in the last couple of days.

The DVD is set to feature the historic reunion between Roger Waters, and Pink Floyd, and includes more than just the set they played on 2nd July, with the inclusion of rehearsal and interview footage of the band.

Roger Waters interview updates Print E-mail

We reported at the end of last week that Roger Waters was due to appear on the MSN chat site last night, answering questions submitted by fans relating to his newly released opera, Ca Ira.

At the last moment, we received an email advising that due to scheduling problems, the webchat has been postponed. As yet, a new date for the interview has not been set. As soon as we know, we'll pass on the details.

Roger is currently hard at work in New York, being interviewed by various printed media, radio and television stations. A couple of interviews have already appeared, the first in the newspaper USA Today, yesterday.

Unicorn singer/drummer passes on Print E-mail

Following on from our news last month about the long-awaited release of four of Unicorn's albums on CD, we are very sad to bring you the news that Pete Perryer, Unicorn's lead singer and drummer, died suddenly of a heart attack on September 6th.

Rare 1968 Pink Floyd footage - the director talks Print E-mail

Tony Palmer, the director of some rare, 1968 footage of Pink Floyd performing three takes of Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun, has been in contact with us, wishing to pass his comments and clarification on concerning the film, which has recently been offered for sale.

Some of the footage, which was shot for the BBC, was used in the 1968 documentary All My Loving, which was recently repeated as part of BBC4 TV's look at the sixties.

Official 2006 Floyd calendar delayed Print E-mail

Further to our news item last month about the official 2006 Pink Floyd calendar, we have had an update from the company producing it. The calendar will not be ready for another three to four weeks, as the band have requested some image changes to include Live 8 shots.
