High-end audiophile/home theatre publication Sound & Vision have just posted a fascinating interview with David Gilmour on their website. In the chat with David, he confirms something that we'd heard a rumour about - a surround sound mix of his new album, On An Island.

One of Britain's longer serving, and respected, broadcasters, David Jensen (born and raised in Canada) recently caught up with David Gilmour while he prepared for his current tour in a West London rehearsal studios. The interview was broadcast on Jensen's Saturday show on Capital Gold, and has now been made available on the radio station's website to listen to on demand.

Waters and Mason playing CA benefit at castle Print E-mail

It has been announced that Roger Waters and Nick Mason will be participating in an upcoming show to benefit the UK's Countryside Alliance (CA).

The show, Highclere Rocks, is being held at the castle of the same name in the Berkshire countryside on Saturday, May 20th. It is being billed as a "picnic concert", running from 4pm until 11pm, and features The Band Du Lac - made up of Gary Brooker, Mike Rutherford, Andy Fairweather Low and Paul Carrack.

David gets first place, Nick gets second - this weekend! Print E-mail

This weekend saw two elements of Pink Floyd successful in their solo endeavours.

First off, David Gilmour's new album "On An Island" entered the Official UK Album Charts at the coveted number one spot. Selling very heavily since it hit the stores last Monday (6th March), empty racks in a number of outlets bore testiment to the demand for his third solo album. This is despite a relatively low key promotional campaign to promote the release.
