On Friday evening, BBC One TV's Mastermind included Pink Floyd as one of the contestants' chosen subjects, and you can now see how YOU might have done if sat in the intimidating black chair, as we have all the posed questions below!
For those of you unfamiliar with this show, in a nutshell, four contestants take it in turns to answer questions over two rounds, against the clock. The first two-minute round comprises questions on each contestant's chosen specialist subject, and the second two-minute round tests general knowledge. The winner of each contest goes forward to the next knockout phase of the competition. It is one of the most popular quiz programmes on television, having run for forty-two years.
It's only the second time in the programme's history that someone has chosen to answer questions about Pink Floyd. Now it's time to test yourself - how many of the following do you know the answer to?

As part of the promotion for The Endless River, Nick Mason has been talking to Legacy Recordings about Pink Floyd's visits to Japan, which started back in 1971. It's an interesting interview, with some different questions asked than the norm, and Nick even (slightly tongue in cheek) volunteers his services as a drummer to One Direction!
UPDATE: The second part of this interview is now available to view. Click here for part two, and just uploaded, is the third part. The second and third parts are harder to follow, as the questions are not given - just Nick's answers!

Opening at Proud Camden Stables in London tomorrow, November 20th, and running until December 3rd 2014 is Studio to Stereo – a two-week exhibition that showcases never-seen-before photography of leading music acts alongside the stunning sound of their recorded tracks in Hi-Res Audio. Curated by Alex Proud featuring narration from radio DJ Tom Ravenscroft, the interactive gallery features a section covering Pink Floyd and their debut album, 1967's The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.
Radio DJ Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music) also compiled comments from the artists and studio engineers themselves to get stories about the bands’ studio experiences. Tom also selected the tracks to be played alongside each of the
photographs.
The rare photographs on display in Stable 3 were taken by Andrew Whittuck, and show Pink Floyd on the cusp of greatness while recording their debut album The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios in July 1967. Whilst looking at the pictures, you can listen to Lucifer Sam and Pow R. Toc H. from the album, played back by a Sony Portable DAC (PHA-3) with the NWZ-A15 Walkman and MDR-1A headphones. Neighbouring stables have Bob Dylan, The Doors and Black Sabbath amongst others. The music in each of the six stables is showcased on a range of Sony Hi-Res Audio equipment
More details and location information can be found here.
UPDATE: BD's Bruce Tippen visited the exhibition yesterday (November 24th) and found that the Floyd section featured three relatively common pictures of the band, and no music from Piper. Instead, visitors can hear Keep Talking and High Hopes. Please be aware of this before setting out on a special journey to Camden.
