The new issue of the UK's Mojo Magazine (cover date July 2018, issue number 296) includes a major feature on Pink Floyd, as well as the new endeavour (which kicks off this weekend in London), Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets.

The magazine headlines the feature looking at their reckoning of 'The 50 Greatest Pink Floyd Songs' (always a contentious concept), which they call "a celebration of their works from Walk With Me Sydney to The Endless River and all points between".

More interestingly, they have "an exclusive interview with Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets, the Floyd drummer’s unexpected live reincarnation of the Syd Barrett-era band. Elsewhere in the magazine, amongst a wide range of other things, there's an interview with Patti Smith on the eve of her UK tour, a rare full-career rundown with Can man Damo Suzuki, and a look at Paul Simon's life-changing spells in the UK, 1963-65.

Today, May 18th, 2018, Pink Floyd Records have released the PULSE 4LP box set (originally released in 1995, and now incredibly rare/pricey!) on heavyweight 180-gram vinyl. The 4LP set includes four different inner sleeves, each inside individual outer sleeves, plus a 52-page hardback photo book, all encased in a thick card slipcase. Aubrey "Po" Powell and Peter Curzon, who work on the original artwork with the late Storm Thorgerson, have recreated the superb original packaging for this reissue. As with other Pink Floyd Records output, this 2018 release was remastered from the original tapes by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman.

One curiosity about the vinyl (like the original cassette) is that it includes One Of These Days as an additional track, which wasn't included on the CD version (presumably due to space issues). With the cassette out of print, this new edition of PULSE on vinyl will be the only place to legitimately get hold of this recording of One Of These Days.

Today also sees the release of the Floyd's much loved Relics: A Bizarre Collection of Antiques & Curios on 180g heavyweight vinyl. The album is the band's 1971 compilation pulling together singles, B-sides, and early album tracks. The album features the intriguing and complex artwork hand-drawn by Nick Mason, and like the original release, all tracks are the original stereo versions, which sit alongside the mono tracks Arnold Layne and See Emily Play. As with other Pink Floyd Records output, this 2018 release was remastered from the original tapes by James Guthrie, Joel Plante and Bernie Grundman.

With the first of the four London shows for Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets just two days away, it has just been announced that there are a very limited number of production tickets which have been released for the first of the four shows.

These additional tickets for Sunday's performance at Dingwalls, in Camden, go on sale now, and are expected to sell extremely quickly. As before, there are ticketing restrictions of just two tickets per person, and the name of the purchaser will be printed on the tickets, and photo ID will be checked against the tickets, on the door. You can try your hand at getting tickets for what promises to be a great show, via Ticketweb.

The new issue of the UK's Uncut magazine (cover date July 2018) arrives in UK shops today (Thursday), and in due course will be available in selected outlets in Europe and elsewhere. Tucked away, adjacent to John Lydon's chin on the cover are the words: 'We are not a tribute band' - Syd's Floyd Reborn!

Uncut chatted to Nick Mason to discover more about the Saucerful Of Secrets project (the band undergo a set of four shows in London over the course of the coming week). Making the important distinction that "It's not important to play the songs exactly as they were, but to capture the spirit", which helped inform who would join Nick on stage. He reveals that he told both David Gilmour, and Roger Waters, of his intentions to revisit some of the band's earlier repertoire live, and found them very supportive. The chat with Nick also hints at what the set is likely to include come Sunday evening in Camden.

Elsewhere in the magazine there's a major feature on the aforementioned Lydon (known to many as Johnny Rotten in a previous musical life). Lydon, Jah Wobble and Keith Levene recall the last days of the Sex Pistols and explain how the pioneering, cantankerous Public Image were born. Father John Misty, Ray Davies and Johnny Cash also have features within, and the magazine is sold with a cover mounted CD.
