Pink Floyd 1968WOW - it's now the 27th YEAR of Brain Damage, your Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Syd Barrett, Richard Wright and Roger Waters news resource!

Marking the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic 1975 album, a range of Wish You Were Here 50 celebratory editions: deluxe box set, blu-ray, 3LP set, 2CD set and coloured vinyl single LPs came out at the end of last year. Full details here. The LA 1975 concert, recorded by Mike Millard and remastered by Steven Wilson, came out as a standalone item on 4LP for Record Store Day, and 2CD across most of the world.

The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, and digital was also released in 2025 - and is NOT to be missed. As is the 4K UltraHD edition out now!

Also last year, celebrating the concerts to coincide with David Gilmour's album, Luck and Strange, cinema/IMAX screenings, and a book, 2Blu-ray, 3DVD, 4LP, 2CD and deluxe box set options were also released and are getting very high praise.

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's their RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too much longer before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info! Before all that though is the release of Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill Live In Prague on 4LP vinyl, Blu-ray, DVD, 2CD and digital which is out now.

mumbai_press_smallThis weekend, two seperate websites have published video footage of Roger Waters, who plays in Mumbai, India, tonight, and also Nick Mason, whose car collection is being shown at the Retromobile exhibition.

First, though, to the Nick Mason footage.

turboTo tie in with the exhibition, Nick's car collection was featured as part of the long-running car show "Turbo" on French TV channel M6. The show aired last night (February 17th) at 7pm CET, with Nick being interviewed by Dominique Chapatte.

The segment, lasting some four and a half minutes, is a fascinating look around his garage. On display was an array of beautiful Bugatti's, Ferrari's, a Maserati, a McLaren F1, and many more mouthwatering motors.

Nick also took the lucky interviewer out for a spin in a couple of the cars, and talked about the nature of driving them, especially when things go wrong (for example, in his Ferrari Enzo!).

The Nick Mason segment fro Turbo is available to view for seven days following transmission, free of charge, over at www.m6video.fr, along with a picture gallery of some twelve shots. Our thanks to Frederic Lepla and Mathieu for the info on this show.

Turning now to Roger Waters, and with Mumbai bracing itself for the show of the year tonight, the Indian website Business Standard has published a short segment of the press conference yesterday.

mumbai_press Lasting just one minute and fifteen seconds, it is none-the-less an interesting watch, with Roger talking about the show - the effects, the presentation and the aims of the concert, and of how he is so much more at peace with himself and life as a whole.

Our thanks to Nikhil Atreyesh for this...

Whilst at the press conference, Roger was asked for his reason for returning to India. He explained that the reception he had last time, when he played in Bangalore, moved him.

"It was fantastic, they set up this wonderful construction as my stage and the crowd was brilliant. They were knowledgeable and enthusiastic. It was very unique and different from shows in other parts of the world."

With speculation and rumour rife about a further reunion of Pink Floyd, Roger was asked about the Live8 concert.

"It was really great to perform at Live 8. It was incredibly moving for the four of us, and the audience really appreciated it. But whether or not we reunite again in the future is not really answerable at this point."

When asked what was the most significant moment of his life, Roger suitably responded that: "I would have to say it was my birth!"
