The new cover design of the 30th Anniversary SACD edition of Dark Side Of The Moon has seemingly appeared and is flying around the internet today (we were emailed it from two different sources).
Whilst we are still awaiting official confirmation of everything from our friends at EMI, we thought you might like to see this. It seems the new design has at least some input from Storm Thorgerson - which may be included in the book mentioned below. From a conversation with him in September, we know that George Hardie was also involved in some capacity.
The limited edition vinyl version does not include this new "stained glass window" artwork, it seems. Again, until there is official confirmation of the artwork and the contents/format of the two editions, all this could change.

We had an email from Mark Fenwick, Roger Waters' manager, yesterday afternoon updating us on some things of interest:
- Live At Pompeii (Directors Cut) DVD release has been moved back to April, due to some technical glitches that need to be ironed out.
- Roger's new album, to be released on Columbia, is now anticipated to be released in Summer 2004 (next year), and
- Roger's Ca Ira, to be released on Sony Classical, is anticipated to follow the above, in Autumn 2004/Spring 2005.
Our thanks to Mark for the update.

A DVD of the 1998 Pretty Things concert at Abbey Road, featuring David Gilmour throughout, is being released on March 24th. There is no region coding for this release, meaning it should be playable on all DVD players, although please bear in mind that it will be in PAL format. Our thanks to Charles at Floydstuff.com for letting us know about this forthcoming release, which they are, of course, stocking.

The following is an extract from a press release published this week on Launch.com concerning the new Ringo Starr album. Contrary to previous reports, it now looks like David Gilmour NOT Roger Waters is involved in it!
Ringo Rama, the upcoming solo album from Ringo Starr, is due March 25th from Koch Records. The project features guest appearances from Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, Willie Nelson, Eagles bassist Timothy B. Schmit, Shawn Colvin, and others. The album's first single will be "Never Without You," a tribute to Starr's late Beatles mate George Harrison that features a guitar solo by Clapton.

Storm Thorgerson, visual genius, and long time collaborator with Pink Floyd with regard to their artwork, is bringing out a new version of his excellent "Mind Over Matter" book. It is scheduled to be released at the start of March. It is not known what additions over the current version will be included, but it would seem likely that it would include some of the Dark Side 30th anniversary edition material.
