LATEST UPDATES: July 2nd 2005
We've received a number of enquiries from people worldwide, eager to know how they can tune in to the Live 8 concert in London, on July 2nd, 2005, which features the reunion of Roger Waters with Pink Floyd for the occasion.

This page will be kept up-to-date with all the details we can find of the ways you can experience the show if you don't hold a ticket, and looks at the broadcasts country-by-country. Obviously, if you have any details for your country, that aren't shown here, please let us know so that we can include them.

A copy of this page can also be found on Bob Geldof's official site - www.BobGeldof.info - which we are of course delighted to share the information with!

The objective is to have the Live 8 concerts, taking place around the world, being watched and listened to by more than 2 billion people.

In the UK, the BBC is the host broadcaster for Live 8 London (the one with Pink Floyd!) with coverage across BBC ONE, TWO and THREE, with radio broadcasts on Radio's 1 and 2, the BBC World Service and across the BBC's regional stations. The BBC radio stations are streamed on the internet, meaning people worldwide can enjoy their coverage live, as it happens. Click here for details of the BBC's exhaustive coverage All other countries' coverage is shown below.

Partner broadcasters in Europe and America will be working to bring this huge international event to the world.

MTV Networks Worldwide have announced that they will air customized programming from the concerts. In the United States alone, MTV, VH1 and MTV’s college network, mtvU, will run a shared feed for the first time ever, capturing the biggest moments of this universal music effort to help fight poverty. From 12-8pm ET/9am-5pm PT, the sister networks will provide select LIVE coverage from every corner of the world, along with interviews with participating artists and fans on site, and produced packages that will look at everything from the original 1985 Live Aid concert to what is set to take place at the upcoming G8 conferences Live 8 is hoping to influence in 2005.

In addition, CMT and VH1 Classic will be involved in showcasing Live 8 performances reflective of their brands in separate highlight programming the day after the concerts take place. Outside of the United States, hourly bulletins comprised of performances, backstage interviews and specially created packages will air on MTV, VH1 and TMF (The Music Factory) brands internationally. On July 3, the day after the concerts take place, a one-hour Live 8 special with featured global performances will be made available to MTV Networks music channels around the world.

They have also confirmed that if the shows overrun, so will their coverage - so people will get to see the whole event.

On the internet you can watch the Live 8 concerts live and on demand, along with behind-the-scenes stuff, during and after the concerts on July 2nd, by logging on to aolmusic.com, who will be providing free streaming coverage of all the shows. They will make the performances available to watch after the event, on demand, from their site, for six weeks. And you won't need to be an AOL member to use their facilities.
