Richard Wright - happy birthday! Print E-mail
Written by the Brain Damage team
Sunday, 27 July 2008

Richard WrightAll of us here at Brain Damage would like to extend our very best wishes to Richard Wright, who today, 28th July, will be celebrating his 65th birthday - a momentous occasion!

Richard was born in Hatch End, London, in 1943, and whilst at the Regent Street Poly, met Roger Waters and Nick Mason, which lead to the formation of Sigma 6 in 1963, the band that developed into Pink Floyd... Over the years, Richard has made a unique, unforgettable contribution to the band's music and overall "sound". A cornerstone of the band, the love and respect that the fans have for him was made clear during the 2006 David Gilmour tour, where Richard got a deserved standing ovation each night.

Many happy returns, Richard!
