Those of you who have enjoyed Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets will know guitarist Lee Harris well. Lee came up with the concept, made a compelling case to Nick, and the rest is history. With no Saucers activity currently on the horizon, Lee is keeping busy, with a recent guest appearance with the Aussie Floyd in Paris, but there are two concerts upcoming that you might be interested in.
First, following his guest spot in Folkestone, Kent, last year, which saw fans from across the world turn up to see a variety of Floyd songs performed live on a bandstand in the seaside town, Lee will be back on August 28th in what sounds like a fascinating show. 'The Orb perform Metallic Spheres LIVE' will see the worldwide debut performance of the work that The Orb collaborated with David Gilmour on. David won't be performing, but Lee, along with fellow Saucer Dom Beken, will!
Originally released in 2010 with a second chapter released in 2024, Metallic Spheres was a landmark collaboration between The Orb and David, blending ambient electronics with the unmistakable tones and textures of this legendary guitarist. Until now, the album has never been performed live in full. The performance - at the Quarterhouse venue - will open Floyd in Folkestone 2026, setting the tone for the world's only annual festival that celebrates the legacy and alumni of this iconic band. This unique live debut promises a deeply immersive, cinematic and emotional experience – one that fans of Floyd, The Orb and experimental rock will not want to miss.

A couple of weeks later, on September 10th, Lee will be back in London for a special one-off performance marking the 60th anniversary of John Mayall's Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton - the record that helped define British electric blues.
The album will be performed in full, alongside additional material from the Bluesbreakers' seminal 1966 era, by an exceptional lineup: Lee Harris (Nick Mason’s Saucerful of Secrets) on guitar, Norman Watt-Roy (Ian Dury and the Blockheads/Wilko Johnson) on bass, Sonny Flint - son of original Bluesbreakers drummer Hughie Flint - on drums, Laine Hines - son of Denny Laine - on vocals and harmonica, Chris Rand (Mick Taylor/Jools Holland) on sax, and Norbert Varga (The Doors Alive) on keys.
A rare opportunity to experience one of the most influential albums in British blues history, live at the Half Moon in Putney - which coincidentally was the home for three of the four opening shows for the fledgling Saucers back in May 2018!
