Pink Floyd's 1973 classic, Dark Side Of The Moon, will be performed live in a special concert by The Section Quartet.

The concert, in a club called The Echo in Echo Park, along Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, is being held on January 20th, and like other recent shows, is expected to be well attended, if not sold out! Every Thursday this month, TSQ will be holding court at its first official residency at The Echo, with each night having a different focus; apart from Dark Side, they will also be doing a complete performance of Radiohead’s OK Computer, and even a TSQ Greatest Hits show.

Brain Damage heard their performance of Dark Side Of The Moon a while back, as it has been released on an album available from the likes of Amazon. It is an unusual look at the music, and we found it very enjoyable. You can read our review here.

The Section Quartet (TSQ) has had a busy autumn traveling around the US and Canada performing with Sam Phillips. They followed her tour with a sold-out show of their own performing Radiohead’s OK Computer album at the Mercury Lounge in New York.

They've also appeared on two film soundtracks recently - "I [heart] Huckabees" sees the quartet performing their version of Jon Brion's song “Didn’t Think It Would Turn Out Bad.” And the horror film "Saw" features a score by former Nine Inch Nails member Charlie Clouser with The Section Quartet providing the music for the terrifying final scene!
