Proud Camden StablesOpening at Proud Camden Stables in London tomorrow, November 20th, and running until December 3rd 2014 is Studio to Stereo – a two-week exhibition that showcases never-seen-before photography of leading music acts alongside the stunning sound of their recorded tracks in Hi-Res Audio. Curated by Alex Proud featuring narration from radio DJ Tom Ravenscroft, the interactive gallery features a section covering Pink Floyd and their debut album, 1967's The Piper At The Gates of Dawn.

Radio DJ Tom Ravenscroft (BBC 6 Music) also compiled comments from the artists and studio engineers themselves to get stories about the bands’ studio experiences. Tom also selected the tracks to be played alongside each of the photographs.

The rare photographs on display in Stable 3 were taken by Andrew Whittuck, and show Pink Floyd on the cusp of greatness while recording their debut album The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn at London's legendary Abbey Road Studios in July 1967. Whilst looking at the pictures, you can listen to Lucifer Sam and Pow R. Toc H. from the album, played back by a Sony Portable DAC (PHA-3) with the NWZ-A15 Walkman and MDR-1A headphones. Neighbouring stables have Bob Dylan, The Doors and Black Sabbath amongst others. The music in each of the six stables is showcased on a range of Sony Hi-Res Audio equipment

More details and location information can be found here.

UPDATE: BD's Bruce Tippen visited the exhibition yesterday (November 24th) and found that the Floyd section featured three relatively common pictures of the band, and no music from Piper. Instead, visitors can hear Keep Talking and High Hopes. Please be aware of this before setting out on a special journey to Camden.
