Hot on the heels of our review of Taken By Storm - The Art of Storm Thorgerson and Hipgnosis on DVD, yesterday, comes an offer from StormStudios themselves.
With a spirit no doubt of "If you can't beat them, join them", they are running a trio of special Black Friday offers, which run until Monday (November 30th). Here's what StormStudios are offering: "Friday may be black and Monday a little Stormy but we'd like to offer you the chance to add a splash of colour to this winter weekend with a trio of special offers. At the top of the tree is a significant price reduction on our high quality (very) limited numbered fine art silkscreen of 'Transmissions'. Designed for Gentlemen Without Weapons, Storm and the the studio went to legendarily preposterous lengths to capture this image [shown to the right]. Yes, those are genuine telegraph poles! View a clip about the making of this cover from Roddy Bogawa's 'Taken By Storm' documentary here. In addition we also have a lovely new limited fine art print of the concept sketch created for an album cover by South African band Machineri, copies of our gorgeous weighty anthology 'The Gathering Storm' and freshly released DVDs of 'Taken By Storm'. Full details here."
The Gathering Storm was a book we hugely enjoyed, and are sure you will to. Check out our review of this book here. If you are yet to get this book, their Black Friday deals might encourage you to snap up the DVD and book (unless your budget stretches to the print) - something we are sure you won't regret.
