Further to our last news item about the US tour of "Taken By Storm: The Art of Storm Thorgerson", which will be travelling in the USA in 2005/2006, we now have news of the second venue on the tour! The first stop for the exhibition is Chicago at Inspire Fine Art at 435 East Illinois Street at the River East Art Center, where it will run May 6th - June 5th.

Included in the run, on May 20th, will be a special "fan club" night at the gallery. They are inviting fans of all of the bands that Storm has worked with - Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cranberries, Audioslave, Muse, Mars Volta and the list goes on. They'll be playing a mix of music also by these bands. Wine.com will be sponsoring the event and providing taste testing of some of their wines. Admission is free, and should be fun night.

The exhibition will then travel to Los Angeles (actually Glendale) at the Forest Lawn Museum where it will be part of the larger "Art in Music" exhibition. The exhibition will run 31st July - 9th October.

The exhibition will remain on tour in the US during 2005 before continuing to Asia and Europe in 2006. Limited edition signed and numbered fine art prints, original sculpture and one-of-a-kind artwork will be available at participating galleries, on the gallery websites and at www.takenbystorm.us, where you will find up-to-date information on the tour.

At the London show, we enjoyed a long and fascinating chat with Storm. Highlights of our conversation and pictures of the exhibition can be seen in our interview section.

The exhibition, held at the John Martin Gallery in Chelsea, featured a wealth of absorbing images, and was a great look through Storm's career to date. It was great news that the show was to travel, and we are pleased to bring you details of these shows.

Our thanks to Robin at Media Contemporary Arts for keeping us posted with this eagerly anticipated tour. We'll have more news about the tour as it moves around the country, and indeed, the world!
