WOW - it's now the 27th YEAR of Brain Damage, your Pink Floyd, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Syd Barrett, Richard Wright and Roger Waters news resource!
Marking the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd's iconic 1975 album, a range of Wish You Were Here 50 celebratory editions: deluxe box set, blu-ray, 3LP set, 2CD set and coloured vinyl single LPs came out at the end of last year. Full details here. The LA 1975 concert, recorded by Mike Millard and remastered by Steven Wilson, came out as a standalone item on 4LP for Record Store Day, and 2CD across most of the world.
The stunningly restored and remixed Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, and digital was also released in 2025 - and is NOT to be missed. As is the 4K UltraHD edition out now!
Also last year, celebrating the concerts to coincide with David Gilmour's album, Luck and Strange, cinema/IMAX screenings, and a book, 2Blu-ray, 3DVD, 4LP, 2CD and deluxe box set options were also released and are getting very high praise.
The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's their RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.
Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too much longer before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info! Before all that though is the release of Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill Live In Prague on 4LP vinyl, Blu-ray, DVD, 2CD and digital which is out now.

Last month, we reported on a story in the Swedish Daily News, which remarked that Storm Thorgerson, who
designed most of Pink Floyd's legendary album covers, was currently hard at work on two new books to be released soon.
We chatted with Storm about these, and we now have the cover art of one of these books - John Harris's "The Making Of The Pink Floyd Masterpiece, The Dark Side of The Moon". The Swedish report noted that "right now Storm and his assistant Dan Abbott are sitting twisting and turning triangles - again. The triangular theme from the album sleeve has to be varied in absurdum. Dan explains that he see triangles every time he close his eyes, and have been doing so for several years now; since the greatest hits period a couple of years back when the Pink Floyd aesthetic saw a brief renaissance".
The hardback book is an in-depth analysis of the album, and is due for release around August/September
this year. We've been providing some assistance to John with the development of the book, over the last few months or so, and it sounds like it's going to be a worthy addition to the book shelves!
Here's what the publishers say about the book:
A behind-the-scenes, in-depth look at the making of one of the greatest sonic masterpieces and most commercially successful albums of all time, Floyd's The Dark Side of the Moon (1973) is one of the most beloved albums of all time.
A sonically stunning exploration into dark themes of madness, death, anxiety, and alienation, it has sold a staggering 30 million copies worldwide, and continues to sell 250,000 copies a year. Besides being perhaps the most fully realized and elegant concept album ever recorded, The Dark Side of the Moon was also one of the most technically advanced LPs of its day. It has aged remarkably well and still sounds as contemporary and cutting edge as it did on the day it was released.
A perfect blend of studio wizardry and fearless innovation, The Dark Side of the Moon is illuminated by John Harris's exploration of the band's fractured history, his narrative skill, and his deft exploration of the album's legacy, such as its massive influence on bands like Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails.
Drawing on original, new interviews with every member of the band - bassist and chief songwriter Roger Waters, guitarist Dave Gilmour, keyboardist Rick Wright, and drummer Nick Mason - The Dark Side of the Moon is a must-have for the millions of devoted fans who desire to know more about one of the most
timeless, compelling, commercially successful, and mysterious albums ever made.
Advance orders for this long-awaited book are already being taken through our special links at Amazon.com (US/International), Amazon UK, Amazon Canada, France and Germany.
