Brain Damage and A Fleeting Glimpse

Pink Floyd 1987WELCOME TO THE 26th YEAR OF BRAIN DAMAGE, YOUR PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, NICK MASON, SYD BARRETT, RICHARD WRIGHT AND ROGER WATERS NEWS RESOURCE!

It's 2025! This year sees the 50th anniversary of Wish You Were Here, which is an incredible thought; where does the time go?!

We now know that Pink Floyd At Pompeii MCMLXXII on Blu-ray, 2CD, 2LP, DVD, digital and cinema screenings are on their way, with the releases on May 2nd, and the cinema screenings shortly before. NOT to be missed!

There's also been three Record Store Day releases released on April 12th, from David Gilmour, Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets, and Roger Waters which are also definitely worth tracking down, either in a participating store, or online, now that RSD has finished.

Last year, David Gilmour's superb new album, Luck and Strange, was released in a variety of formats, and a selection of coloured vinyls. A limited number of concert dates thrilled crowds in Brighton and London, England, Rome, Italy, and Los Angeles and New York, USA. Rome shows were filmed for release at some point...watch this space!

The Nick Mason's Saucerful Of Secrets 2024 Set The Controls tour revealed a band in even better form than the 2022/23 shows which managed to exceed everyone's hopes and expectations! Our sincerest hopes are that they continue, but in the meantime, there's the RSD release, and the earlier live recording from London's Roundhouse on Blu-ray, DVD/2CD, and 2LP which is really excellent.

Of course, Roger Waters read three extracts from his memoirs in October 2023 at the London Palladium, so it might not be too long before that is published...he's also working on his new album based around The Bar - we'll let you know as soon as we get all the info!

Roger Waters wows the Pittsburgh crowd on the tour's first night! Print E-mail

Pittsburgh pigThe first show of the Roger Waters This Is Not A Drill 2022 North America tour took place last night (July 6th) at the Pittsburgh PPG Paints Arena. This followed what we hear was a dress rehearsal at Bryce Jordan Center, University Park, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 2nd. Last night saw an enthralled crowd in Pittsburgh taking in the music, in a diverse and interesting set list, the spectacle, and the occasion itself. First nights are always fun, with everyone being in the same boat in terms of no knowledge of what is going to happen and when.

Initial reports are that the show was quite an experience, but as always, we value your first hand views on all the concerts - so if you went, please let us know your thoughts!

The Pittsburgh show page has the full set list if you want to check out what was played - what mix of older and newer songs was there? What was the ratio of old Pink Floyd stuff against Roger's solo material? Any new songs? The answers can be found here, hidden from immediate view as we normally do, so for those who accidentally go on the page, who don't want to see it, they don't!

We've also got some great pictures (already!) which we're adding to the page; if you have any contributions - a review, brief comments, or pictures - we'd love to see them! Please drop us a line at the normal address: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
